What sets the work apart
Structure and discretion,
not scale and noise.
Most analytics consulting is sold by volume. We work on the opposite principle: small scope, senior attention, written output, and a clear end point.
Back to HomeThe short version
Six things clients consistently value
Senior delivery throughout
Client-facing work is done by experienced consultants, not passed to junior staff partway through.
Written findings as standard
Every engagement produces written output. Nothing is left to memory or summarised in a slide deck only.
Defined scope and timeline
You know the shape of the engagement before it starts. No open-ended retainers without clear terms.
Discreet by default
Standard confidentiality agreements protect all client data. Materials are not retained after engagement close.
Transparent, fixed pricing
Engagement fees are published. No variable billing, no day-rate surprises, no add-on charges mid-project.
An outside reader who asks plainly
We are not invested in defending any current system. We read what is there and ask the questions the team is too close to ask.
In more detail
Built from actual analytics practice
The people running Lanternpath engagements have worked inside analytics and operations functions, not only alongside them. That distinction matters: the questions we ask tend to reflect how reporting is actually produced and used, not how it looks from the outside. We understand the pressure of a quarterly review, the difficulty of explaining a KPI adjustment to a board, and the particular frustration of inheriting a dashboard system that nobody originally documented.
Responsive and without unnecessary process
We keep the administrative weight of working with us as low as possible. Engagements are set up with a short written scope document. Communication is direct. When questions arise between scheduled calls, they get a prompt answer, not a ticket number. The sounding-board retainer in particular is designed to feel like having a knowledgeable colleague available on a regular basis, rather than filing a request with a firm.
Fixed fees, published in advance
Reporting Stack Review: S$640. KPI Definition Workshop: S$170. Analytics Sounding-Board Retainer: S$430 per month. These figures are what you pay. There are no additional consulting day rates, no travel charges for work conducted within Singapore, and no change in fee structure mid-engagement unless both parties agree to change the scope.
Practical findings, not slide decks
The output of a Reporting Stack Review is a written document a leadership team can act on — not a presentation to be stepped through once and filed. The KPI workshop ends with each measure written down in a single sentence, with its data source and review cadence attached. The sounding-board retainer produces written notes after every call. The intention is that written outputs remain useful after the engagement itself has ended.

What you will not find elsewhere
Distinctive features of the practice
No engagement starts without a written scope
Before any work begins, both parties sign off on a short written description of what is included, what the output will be, and when the engagement ends. This protects the client from scope drift and protects us from unclear expectations.
The work is designed to end
We do not structure engagements to create a need for the next engagement. The Reporting Stack Review produces recommendations the client can act on without us. The KPI workshop produces definitions the team owns permanently. The retainer is month-to-month.
Written for the reader, not to demonstrate expertise
Our written outputs are drafted for a non-technical leadership audience. We avoid jargon that would require a data background to interpret. If a finding cannot be stated plainly, we question whether we understand it well enough to write it.
Familiarity with the local business environment
Our team works primarily with Singapore-based organisations and understands the particular dynamics of reporting within local holding structures, family businesses, and regional headquarters of multinational companies operating from Singapore.
